• Volkswagen Tiguan (4Motion with DQ500)

• Volkswagen Transporter / Multivan / Caravelle with DSG

• Audi Q3 / RSQ3 with DSG

• Some Golf R and other high-torque VW/Audi/Skoda models

Common fault codes
When this transmission control unit is failing or has communication problems, you may see codes such as:

• P0607 – Control module malfunction

• P1735 / P1736 – Clutch position sensor faults

• P0715 / P0716 – Speed sensor circuit faults

• P0850 / P0851 – Shift selector / P/N switch errors

• U0101 – Lost communication with mechatronic/TCU

These commonly relate to sensor communication issues or internal TCU faults.

Typical symptoms

• Harsh, delayed, or failed gear shifts

• Flashing PRNDS or transmission warning lights

• Limp mode / reduced driveability

• Loss of some gears or refusal to engage drive/reverse
